What is Geeps?

Geeps is a lightweight AI chat client that allows you to chat with leading AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter and many other LLM providers.

It is meant to be used with your own API keys, similar to how you use AI programming assistants like Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi and many others.

Getting an API key is quick, easy and gives you access to top models without Pro subscriptions. You don't need to be a developer to get an API key, just sign up on the provider's website.

With API keys you access any model of your choice and pay only for the tokens you use. No need to switch between apps. All your chats are in one app, synced across all your devices with iCloud!

Key Features

Geeps offers a familiar chat experience and easy switching between different AI providers and models.

  • Multiple AI providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter and any other provider compatible with OpenAI Chat Completions or Responses API (most of them are!)
  • 100% Native apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac with iCloud sync. Built with SwiftUI and SwiftData.
  • Image attachments: attach images for models with vision capabilities
  • File attachments: pdf and text file attachments (multiple formats including PDF, DOCX, TXT, HTML, Markdown, CSV, JSON, YAML and other text based formats)
  • Image generation: with OpenAI and OpenRouter. OpenRouter supports the most popular image models including Nano Banana, Grok Imagine, Flux and others.
  • Web search: with supported providers (server side) or using a built-in Exa search tool with your own API key
  • Web page reading tool to load and summarize web pages from URLs (additional tools and MCP support coming soon!)
  • Share sheet integration: use it with web links, images and supported file types to start new chats
